IWGB cleaners surprise protest and occupation against ISS

Sun, May 12, 2013, 11:00 PM

The surprise protest and occupation on 17th May 2013 at Capgemini, Vauxhall marks part of the IWGB's campaign for justice for the cleaners employed by the multinational contractor ISS.

The cleaners are paid poverty wages, were told their jobs were at risk, and were racially insulted by a senior ISS manager who said that they could never be British because they were not white.

The cleaners are saying: No to racism! No to redundancies! Yes to a living wage!

The IWGB will not hesitate to call a strike if ISS/Capgemini refuse to treat the cleaners with respect and pay them a living wage.

Back the workers

Precarious and low-paid workers are fighting back against a rigged system. Will you help to build the union by making a monthly donation?
